Bzigo Iris Quick Start Guide
Please follow these instructions to set up your Bzigo Iris, your smart door mosquito guardian.
Guide Step 1: Placement in the Room
Place your Bzigo Iris in a corner away from busy areas where people or objects might block its view
For best results, place your Bzigo Iris about 60 inches (150 cm) from the ceiling and ensure it is aimed directly at the center of the ceiling.
You can use the tripod to place your Bzigo Iris on a flat surface or use the wall mount adapter to hang it on a wall.
Step 2: Plugging in Power
Connect the included power adapter to your Bzigo Iris device and a power socket in the room.
Step 3: Pairing Bzigo Iris With Your Smartphone
Scan with your smartphone the following QR code to download the Bzigo App.
The code is also located on your Bzigo Iris box, on the App Store and Google Play.
Follow the app instructions to connect the Bzigo Iris to your smartphone.
Step 4: You are Ready!
Bzigo Iris is now ready to detect mosquitoes, mark them with a laser beam, and send alerts to your preferred smartphones.
Step 5: Connecting Multiple Smartphones to the Same Device
Simply repeat step 3 on each smartphone you wish to connect.
How can I maximize the effectiveness of my Bzigo Iris?
To achieve optimal results with your Bzigo Iris, it’s essential to diligently follow the setup instructions provided to ensure proper functionality. Additionally, for best performance, it’s recommended to position the device in an area with minimal foot traffic. Avoid placing it in front of mirrors or directly facing windows.
Why is my Bzigo Iris not working?
Please ensure that all of the following steps are properly completed:
- Check that the plastic protector covering the front of the device has been fully removed.
- Double-check that you are using the provided electricity connector and that it is properly connected to the back of the device.
Additionally, double-check that the socket you have plugged the device into is functioning properly. - Make sure that your device is correctly placed according to the instructions in the quick guide manual in the package.
You can find a copy of the instructions in this support section webpage. - Check that the device is connected to your Wi-Fi network. The side LED indicator of your Bzigo Iris should be indicating that by showing a green light. If the LED is tilting or red, ensure you are close enough to the Wi-Fi router.
- Make sure that the device has been successfully paired with your smartphone, and that the Bzigo Iris and Bzigo App are both not set to silent mode, which may be the reason that you are not getting alerts.
Should I reinstall my Bzigo Iris if I'm placing it in a new room?
No, there is no need to reinstall. Consider changing its name in the mobile app so you’ll know which Bzigo Iris is in which room.
How can I get alerts directly from my Bzigo Iris device, instead of my Smartphone
In the mobile app, enable sound, and you will hear a “Buzz Buzz” alert when the Bzigo Iris detects a mosquito.
Can I set the alerts in my Bzigo Iris to be silent?
Yes, through the mobile app. Go to the menu on the top and select your choice.
How many Bzigo Iris devices can I connect to my Smartphone
You can connect as many Bzigo Iris devices as you want with your Smartphone.

To avoid damaging your Bzigo iris device, accessories, or any connected devices, and to reduce the risk of personal injury, discomfort, property damage, or other potential hazards, follow the precautions below and those found at bzigo.com:
- Please exercise due care and caution in handling your Bzigo Iris device. Avoid engaging in actions that may lead to damage, including but not limited to disassembly, dropping, bending, burning, crushing, or puncturing of the device.
Be sure the power adapter and Bzigo Iris are well-ventilated when in use. - Using a damaged Bzigo Iris, damaged cables, or power adapter, may cause overheating, fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to your Bzigo Iris or other property. Do not expose your Bzigo Iris to liquids, which can cause a short circuit and overheating. If the Bzigo Iris gets wet, do not attempt to dry it using an external heat source. Do not use your device when wet or in direct sunlight.
- Your Bzigo Iris is designed to work best in ambient temperatures between 32 °F and 104 °F (0 °C and 40 °C) and should be stored between ambient temperatures of -4 °F and 140 °F (-20 °C and 60 °C). Do not expose Bzigo Iris to temperatures above 140 °F (60 °C) as this may damage the device or pose a risk of fire.
- This Bzigo Iris must be used with a certified PS1 classified output per IEC 62368-1, rated: 12 Volts DC, maximum 2.0 Amp. Only power this Bzigo Iris with the included power adapter. Failure to use the included power adapter in your Bzigo Iris kit can cause fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the Bzigo Iris.
Strangulation Hazard
This device is not a toy. Children have strangled on cords. Keep cords out of the reach of children (more than 3 feet / 0.9 meters away).
Disposal & Recycling
Dispose of and transport your device and accessories according to local environmental and transportation regulations. Do not dispose of them in normal household waste.
Child Safety
Your Bzigo Iris is not a toy. It contains (or comes with) small parts, plastic elements, cables, and parts with sharp edges that may cause an injury or create a choking or strangulation hazard. Keep your Bzigo Iris and its accessories out of the reach of small children. They could hurt themselves or others, or could accidentally damage Bzigo Iris. Consult a physician immediately if small parts are swallowed.
Proper Handling and Usage
Care and Cleaning
Unplug your Bzigo Iris and power adapter before cleaning. Use a clean, soft, and dry cloth to clean your Bzigo Iris and power adapter. Do not use any chemical detergent, powder, or other chemical agents (such as alcohol or benzene) to clean your Bzigo Iris or power adapter. The device and power adapter are not water-resistant and should not be exposed to liquids.
